One:

When my early morning wake up comes. My dog jumps up on the bed and puts his furry happy face right in mine. He whines a sincere, “nyr nyr.”

The time is pee o’clock, and his happiness starts my day.

Two:

When I make eye contact with a person I don’t know and both our faces erupt into smiles with open heart, open mind. We keep on about our business, no need to spoil the moment with words.

When I saw a father and young daughter riding bikes. The father’s hand gently on his daughter’s shoulder in reassurance as they rode side by side. The scuffed paint scrapes of training wheels recently removed were very visible on the frame near the rear wheels of her bike .

Four:

When I was riding my bike back from dinner. My mouth happily ablaze with green curry. I saw four boys (7-12 years old) with a red balloon (air filled not helium). They were trying to keep the balloon from touching the ground by using whatever body part was available. If the balloon touched the ground, all the boys would burst into a frantic manic yell. The one who let the ballon drop picked it up and put it back in play. They saw me observing and beckoned me over. I played a few rounds before I left to go home and feed the dog.

What makes you smile from your heart?
